3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the security of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Ensuring your use complies with all applicable laws and regulations
• The content and data you encode in generated codes

4. Usage Limits and Fair Use

Your use of the service is subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan:

• Free Plan: Limited number of code generations per month
• Paid Plans: Enhanced limits as specified in your plan details
• Fair use policies apply to prevent service abuse
• Excessive use beyond reasonable limits may result in service restrictions

We reserve the right to modify usage limits with reasonable notice to ensure service quality for all users.

5. Paid Plans and Billing

For paid subscription plans:

• Billing occurs on a recurring basis according to your selected plan
• All fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated
• You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees
• Failure to pay may result in service suspension or termination
• We may modify pricing with advance notice
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the service to:

• Generate codes containing illegal, harmful, or malicious content
• Violate intellectual property rights of others
• Engage in fraudulent activities or deceptive practices
• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Use automated systems to access the service without permission
• Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

7. Intellectual Property

The service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Scanou and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the data you encode in your generated codes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The results obtained from use of the service will be accurate or reliable
• Any errors in the service will be corrected
• Generated codes will be scannable in all conditions or devices

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SCANOU BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

• Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service
• Any conduct or content of any third party on the service
• Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your content
• Any other matter relating to the service

10. Data and Service Availability

While we strive to maintain service availability and data integrity:

• We may perform maintenance that temporarily interrupts service
• We recommend maintaining backups of important generated codes
• We are not responsible for data loss due to technical issues
• Service uptime targets are specified in your plan agreement

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the service will immediately cease
• Your account data may be deleted after a reasonable period
• No refunds will be provided for prepaid fees
• You may request a copy of your data before account deletion

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the service shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels.
