With the hosted menu, Scanou stores your menu and shows a phone-friendly page: the first page loads first, the others as the customer scrolls. To change the menu, you replace the file; the QR code on the tables stays the same. The hosted menu is included from the Starter plan.

On the free plan, you can create a static QR code pointing to your menu already published elsewhere (your website, Google Drive…). It works, but changing the menu then depends on that host.

Tips for an effective QR code menu

A few simple rules make all the difference in the dining room:

  • A code at least 3 to 4 cm wide on the table, visible without leaning over.
  • A clear call to action under the code: "Scan to see the menu".
  • Strong contrast: a dark code on a light background.
  • A lightweight file (a few megabytes) for customers on mobile data.
  • A test on several phones before printing the whole batch.
